Being natural in the military can seem like a challenge at first. When I first joined the Navy, I feared that natural hair wouldn't be aceptable. But to my suprise many women in basic training and later on my base, were comfortable wearing their own natural hair. Hi and thanks for your blog--I head of to ODS this summer and I've been wondering what I'm going to do with my shoulder length natural hair. I will probably get corn rows or individuals. This may seem like a silly question so I apologize but I am wondering-- did you notice a difference between how your head gear/various hats fit when your hair was braided or unbraided?
